St Andrew’s (Church of England)

StAndrewsSt Andrew’s Church has long been a beautiful local landmark never more so when lit at night. The building itself has been rebuilt several times over the centuries and recently has been refurbished with the help of grants and various fund raising appeals such as concerts, sales and the stunning festival of flowers.

The church while offering traditional worship also holds services for local community groups such as the WI, Good Companions, Primary School, Blagdon Under 5s and others. It is also a venue for concerts for organists, local choral groups and visiting choirs.

The Space@St Andrew’s created at the back of the church now hosts a multitude of activities, ranging from Wi-Fi Wednesday to Monday Mix, Prayers and Bears and Toddler Group.

At the heart of the local community is the local parish magazine which is produced by volunteers and run by St Andrews PCC. St Andrew’s also has its own bellringers, flower arrangers and choir and supports many local charities.

St Andrew’s is part of the benefice of Blagdon with Charterhouse, Compton Martin and Ubley and is in the Diocese of Bath & Wells.
