Recycling and waste

The local authority (North Somerset Council) provide three regular waste collection services to the village – a recycling collection for recycling paper, cans etc, general household waste and the green waste bags for garden waste. For larger items (fridges, beds etc) a chargeable collection is available. More information from North Somerset Council.

There is also a range of recycling options from composting to local schemes and council provided recycling points with in the village and other nearby villages.

For general clear outs and small DIY project debris you may find a trip to a recycling centre is needed. As we’re on the edge of several districts there are quite a few to choose from depending on what you need.

Click on the link for lots of information about recycling  centres in the area.

If you are happy to give your surplus items away for free you could try freecycle. For more information visit the website, there are several groups locally.
