St Andrew’s Helpline

The helpline is a voluntary service run by St Andrew’s Church available to the people of Blagdon. The following are available:

  • Transport service
For those who don’t drive lifts can be arranged to doctors appointments (Wrington, Churchill and West Harptree) etc. It’s also possible to visit friends in hospital or nursing homes in the local area. There may be a small charge to cover the cost of petrol.
  • Equipment borrowing
Wheelchairs, commodes, zimmer frames, portable cots etc are available to borrow. Ideal for visitors and quick trips.

If you have any equipment which may be of use or can help with transporting people the helpline would love to hear from you.

During difficult travel conditions such as snow, if you have a four wheel drive and are happy to help out on a temporary basis please contact the helpline co-ordinator.
