The middle of everywhere

At first glance Blagdon’s rural location would suggest it’s in the middle of nowhere. However, Blagdon sits on the northern edge of the Mendip Hills, in the South West of Great Britain and is centrally located for the major urban areas of Bath and Bristol.

The M5 and M4 are both half-an-hour’s drive away with Birmingham, Cardiff, London and Plymouth all within two hours from there.

Bristol Airport is less than 15 minutes away and offers UK and international flights.

There are several railway stations nearby including Weston-super-Mare and Yatton while the major stations of Bath Spa and Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads give access to the national rail network.

There are many other villages in the local area which form the Yeo Valley, Chew Valley and Wrington Vale. Blagdon is also on the boundary of several local authorities.

If you’re planning on coming to Blagdon and don’t know your way around then please have a look at our village map.
